LHUK is not for customers that host lots of websites, have demanding applications or use a lot of storage or bandwidth - you know who you are. Our clients have small or growing ecommerce sites, blogs, brochure sites etc. If you have a high demand on infrastructure, you will be better off with a VPS or your own server.
Whilst we partition your account to increase security and protect resources, preventing the slowing down of our servers, if you need high resources, LHUK is not for you! It is ideal for over 90% of websites currently on the internet.
Our servers are setup to deliver websites as quickly and efficiently as possible. We are not set up as an alternative to Google Drive, DropBox etc. Do not backup your home/business files on our servers.
Whilst we do allow you to share business essential files via your server, you may not use it for a specific file sharing service.
LHUK servers are used to host many websites for our parent businesses and you will be sharing our resources. We have to pay and manage these servers for our own use which means we have a vested interest in their continued operation outside of just web hosting. If we have issues with any server, most of our businesses will be affected, which is why by us ensuring that our sites work, yours will also keep working.
